radio information
i tried the search, found nothing but WTB stuff.. But anyways, i got a 97 civic dx coupe.. and i still got my stock factory radio in there. I was wondering if anyone knows what i need so that i can connect my ipod to my stock radio. Like wires and such? alright thanks for the help.
To take out your stock radio, you need to do the following:
1. Remove driver's knee bolster (three philip's-head screws and 4 clips)
2. Drop glovebox (squeeze sides near stopper pegs)
3. Remove 12v accessory panel (6 philip's-head screws)
4. Unbolt radio bracket (two philip's head screws buried back behind your climate control)
Then your deck will slide out with some light pushing from the rear.
On the back of your radio, there will be an 8-pin DIN plug (circular, gray). You can use products such as these to hook up an iPod:
