yeah probably will just adjust it so when ur turn it up there is no distortion (distorotion kills) i'd pick up some new front speakers tho when you get a chance... because with stock speakers you are being robbed of clarity,very little to no mid bass.
well, it really depends, i have a headunit...and some headunits have it, that has a crossover built in for the speakers, that cuts off sounds below a certain level. I use to have my rear speakers in for about a year, running off this headunit with the cut off set at 125Hz i think, and no probs with blowing....dont sound that good but they were fine. Sounded much better once replaced.
Yes. You will one day find out the foam surrounds are broken or the paper cones ripped. Or the voice coils are shot.
You can install a HP crossover as suggested and lose the distortion (the cause of speaker problems). $10 in parts from radio shack.
