Icon2 quick cap question

So I have a 1.2 farad cap (Tsunami) and I am a little confused about the wiring, Yet, it is a simple question.. In the diagram, The power wire is depicted as going to the terminal to the left of the display screen. However, in the plastic cover It says the power wire goes to the terminal to the right of the screen.. SO! does it even matter? I ran it for a bit, wired as seen on the diagram.. and everything worked fine.. Headlights still dim on big bass hits (but the car is 20 years old), but I took thee cap out today to tighten down one of the terminals and I was just wondering what you guys thought..

usually capacitors will have a reverse polarity protection.

i looked at the instruction manual for the PP912UM-CAP (not sure if its the same model as yours but its also a 1.2 farad tsunami cap.

and the diagram has it how your cap actually is.

looking at the cap from the digital screen the negative terminal is on the left and positive is on the right

i would go with what the cover on your cap says.
