Icon2 Python alarm problems - need help!

Hey everyone,

So I just bought a 96 Integra LS a bit ago that already has a Python 660XP alarm installed but, for some unknown reason, the person I bought it from didn't have a remote. So, after some research and emails to DEI I bought a new 474P transmitter (which is what DEI recommended), downloaded the install manual and tried to go through the 'learn routine' (door open, key on 'run', press/hold valet button, etc.) but to no avail.

I have tried going through channel 7 (the auto configuration), channels 4-6 (for manual programming), resetting all transmitters, etc. and nothing works! The alarm chirps every time so I know the unit has to be working... I'm really at a loss here, can anyone help me figure out how to get the damn brain to recognize the new remote???

Thanks in advance!

You have to turn the ignition on and press the button one and then hold it. The alarm should chirp once. While holding the button down still press the lock button on the new remote. The alarm should chirp. If it does one loud chirp the unit has been locked with a bitwritter.
