Default Problem with speakers

Hey everyone, just to say upfront I am NOT electronically inclined. I've rewired fog lights and installed my head unit, but that's about it. I traded a friend for this used cd player, and it plays and works fine and everything, but he told me it has a problem with using aftermarket speakers. I think he said it won't work on low output (does that sound right)?

Currently in my CRX, I have 2 stock speakers and two aftermarket Pioneers (this is the way it came). Just as he said, sound only comes out of the stock speakers. So I am wondering if there is anything I can do to get all of them to play, or if I should find stock speakers. And where can I find those stock speakers?

Also, when I turn on my brights, the radio shuts off. It I run low beams, it's fine, and it'll turn back on when I shut the brights off. WTF?

Thanks.

First if you turn on your headlights and the radio goes off it probably hooked up wrong. I betting that the ground is hooked up to the dimmer wire. And this is the reason the radio can not make power to push the speakers. What kind of radio is it.

If I remember right there wasn't a wire for the dimmer...it's just not connected to anything....and I didn't have any wires left over on the harness I bought..
