problem with Remote Start...
So I have a Problem with the remote start. A friend who is an installer did the alarm install for me. When he tries to hook up the 2 Red Constant 12V wires together and into the White Wire the Lights turn on as if the key was in the On Position. He thinks it may be a bad relay. He says he has done plenty of Pythons and hasn't had the same problem. Any help with this?

Not dissing but if your friend is a installer you should not be here asking this. Especially if he done many. There is no way we can answer your question. We can not see how he wired up the harness. It could be a bad remote start relay pack, The new one have built in micro relays for a easier install and less space. Not like the old standard relay packs. It could be that the brain is bad, bad ground to the alarm. Pinched wire. Faulty install. Run down the list and have him report back. Go over his wire up.

well reason i am posting it up here is becuz he is at a lose. he checked his wiring and everything and can't figure out what is wrong. the brain is good because the alarm works. the remote start portion is the only thing that isn't working. he works 6 days a week and only has time on sundays so he is a busy guy. he did my install on sunday which was pretty hot and was working in the sun so he hooked my alarm up and called it a day.

May I ask were your friends works at? Also can you as him did he test the relay pack? Did he test the alarm brain? Okay lets go noob basic.
1. Does the alarm function properly?
2. Is the alarm powered and grounded correctly?
3. Are the three power wires off the remote start harness hooked up. 2 red and 1 red/white?
4. I made sure nonething is pinched and well connected.
Whoa wait a min I say the problem is in the remote start. humm Lets isolate this I know I getting power and ground correctly. So I think I should start here. Did I unplug the remote start harness from the brain by disconnecting the ribbon cable. And seeing if the problem still occures. So I can make sure its not the brain causing this. I unplug the brain and it stops. Humm I think I could have a bad brain. Humm I unplug it and it stills does the problem with out the brain attached. Hummm bad relay pack. This should be a simple problem fix to a installer that has done many alarms. I would take the car to a dei dealer and have them look over the install.

Lol noob basic...well duh im a noob if I have never installed an alarm. 1+1 = ?
1. Alarm works
2. If alarm isn't powered correctly and grounded correctly how can everything work
3. red and white hooked up, one red is hooked up, can't hook second red or it turns on power
4. No wires are pinched and everything is connected.
I will see how it goes with unplugging the ribbon cable...

Hmmm...never thought about that. He hooked it on and got power so he took it of immediately. He said it wasn't suppose to do that. However, I will experiment with it.

Its not suppose to do that. If the unit is staying on with the ribbon unplugged there is something wrong with the pack. The relay are activated buy a neg trigger. Also make no fuses are blown in the ignition circuit. Like the accessory wire. If one is blown it could throw neg feed back into the relay pack and turn on the other leads.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't all three power wires need to be hooked up?

Yes all 3 power leads need to be connected.
I would also be connecting everything up before the batt. is connected, and by the sounds of it the "installer" was making connections with the batt. still connected.
Also if the alarm was wired without the relay pack the alarm does not have an ign. input, as it comes from the relay pack.
Having things "power up" when a power lead is connected to a live circuit is not unusual, that's why I asked how long it stays powered up.
You should always disconnect the neg. lead on a batt. when installing electrical components.
