Default Problem with immobilizer key

Did a K20a2 swap on my EF. Used stock EM2 interior wiring harness and K20 engine harness. Have it setup like a stock EM2 with a K20. The engine is from a UK type-r and i got the ecu with ignition and keys from the UK to. The ecu has been unhooked from the car for 3 months now as i hooked it up the ecu does not take the key as the right key. The Immo. indicator on the dash is flashing and engine only cranks no spark and no fuel.

Will i need to visit the dealer or is there any other way to get it working? I got a key with a metal tag with a 4 digit code....is that for the transponder ?

Or will i need to visit the dealer? they need the vin right?.

What do you think about the so called swapbox-k? better to get that ?

thx for the help

I have always wonderd about this. The em2 has 2 relays behind the glove box for the fuel pump. You hopefully can get the fuel pump working by grounding the grn/yel(ecm immobilizer output) on the second relay.

No ...grounding it will short the ecu. Just have to remove it as it gets from the ecu 12v "+" and that will not allow the pump to get fuel. But what is the point if the ignition is killed to by the immobilizer ? Or am i missing something here?

Doing that won't mess up the ecu, The ecu uses a neg output to turn on the fuel pump. So basicly you will be pumping fuel for no reason. I would call it a day and get k-pro. Reason is that you can now tune the car and the cost of the dealer to do it.

As i got a PRA ecu some ppl have told me that its a bad ecu to send to hondata. At the moment i do not care about tuning it as i am using all stock parts. Even getting a stock cat. and exhaust manifold. Just want to get it up and running.

Hondata is the same as getting a new key from the dealer? I was told if i give them the vin and take the car and keys to them it will cost something around 100 USD might be less if the problem is easy to solve.
