Default power wire...

i was wondering...rather than going straight to the battery, could i just tap into my HU's power wire..??? if so does anyone have a wire diagram so i can pick out this wire...or if you know what color the wire is...

ahh its okay..nevermind..i was just lazy running a power wire to the battery..i was just gonna ghetto wire my ****...its a kenwood 729s...300x1...my other amp i used straight speaker wire for it all...power/remote/ground...worked fine..but oh well..i'll just run it from the bat...

The ghetto rig would have been using the factory 10 amp or 7.5 amp fuse if he tagged off the radio's wiring.

That job would be very ghetto. The amp might run off of 22 guage wire, but the power supplied would suck, and any time the bass hit the amp would start to cut out. Use atleast 10 guage, i tend to use 8 for any amp of that size just because the heavier the wire, the more amps it can flow at one time... so when the bass hits you actually get the power to the amp to make it hit

yeah, its fuse...and i dont really mind if the stuff blows...it came out of my other car since i got new junk in it...but yeah, amp runs fine and plenty of bass. i usually switch out the cheap wire later on...
