Icon3 Power Window Problem

I have a 96 civic EX 2-door with power windows. My problem is that the driver-side window is not working. The master control switch still rolls the passenger side window up and down with no problem but the driver-side switch does absolutely nothing. I have taken the door panel off and bypassed the switch by unplugging the connector at the back of the master control switch and directly connecting the wires and it works fine then. Therefore I know it is not the motor, fuse, or wireing between the switch and motor. I have an extra switch I had and another switch I found at a junkyard and they all have the same problem. All three having the same exact problem seem like a bit of a coincidence to me, but maybe it is a common problem. A bit of info that may help: the problem started out as an intermitent one. Some times it would work, some times it would not. But when it first started to happen if I opened and then shut the door the vibration seemed to jar something and make it work again. But it got progressively worse untill it no longer works no matter what I do.

Has anyone else had or seen this problem before? And what do I need to do to fix it? Please help!!! The weather is getting nice out and I will lose it if I can't use my window!!!

Thanks.

If I remember correctly when you press the switch it should also throw a negative out of one of those wire at the switch other than the wires for the window motor. one wire for up and one for down

Hopefully someone have a diagram or wire color for these wires to make your diagnose easier.

Weird one here, volt ohm meter is going to be your best friend. Had the same problem only with the passenger window not wanting to operate in the down position. come to find out the wire had been broken at some point, I was unable to locate it but ran a new wire and the problem is gone. Take your time, look over the schematic.

Check fuse 11 - 20A, [hot when ign. switch is in run or start] in under dash fuse box, replace it with a known working fuse, swap it with fuse 10 - 20A, [pass. side power window fuse] if still not working, test for power on the blue/black lead at the drivers door master switch.
Also test the black ground leads for continuity to chassis ground. 94
