Power antenna
I own a 98 GSR....My question is that I have put in a new head unit (Pioneer DEH-P9400MP) and never use my fm/am b/c I play mp3 cds now, what I would like to know is if there is a way to keep my power antenna from going up if I don't use my am/fm. I would even go to the length of cutting the power cord to the antenna but I don't know which one it is. If anyone has done this or knows how to keep it from going up it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
i would suggest putting a switch on this wire, not just cutting it

yes except mine is skinnier and is a flip switch from left to right, METAL
I have that same switch for my fuel pump kill switch. I think I am going to go buy another one and hook up my antenna this weekend.

yeah, what's a maintenance switch?
Whenever the check engine light comes on (hasn't happen in my car yet, but I'm sure it will eventually...and I've seen it in Matt's a few times), to pull the code (see what it blinks and check it in your Helm Manual) you have to crawl over to the maintenance switch port in the passenger's side footwell and bridge the gap, either with an expensive piece of wire from Acura, or a paper clip or something equally ghetto. Why not bling up the whole process, and make it something you can do without leaving the drivers seat? Borrowing on the success of Matt's fine Antenna Switch placement, he thought of doing a switch for the maintenance connect as well while installing my cruise control. We needed to steal the metal plugs from inside the blue maintenance plug for the cruise to work...why not extend the wires and make a switch? While installing my cruise control, he suggested wiring it up since we had most of the parts available. For once, my car gets something first
I'd recommend doing this at the same time you do an antenna switch, because you'll be working in most of the same areas, and using most of the same parts. Get two switches, a few more quick disconnects, and a couple extra feet of wire, and you're ready to pull DTCs like a champ while raising and lowering your antenna at a whim.

Persoanlly, I didnt put the switch there because it is used so rarely.
Isn't there a little blue button under the steering wheel to turn off the check engine light? I don't see the need for a maintenance switch then.
Here's so that you stay informed about your Honda.

There is a difference between the check engine light and the maintenance required light.
like pictured here (but both are on the left side): http://www.flogged.net/integra/gauge-cluster.jpg
