Alpine Type S 6.5" speakers are not a "direct fit" into your car, Alpine 6.5" speakers are over-sized 6.5" speakers and require a larger diameter mounting hole then the stock standard 6.5" speaker, they are also deeper then the stock speaker.
You will have to make some mods to fit them properly into your car, but no biggie. 94

PS, $30 is a little high, [depending on model] for a used entry level speaker, especially if you can pick up a brand new set for $20 more, but if they are in good shape physically and cosmetically, [and depending on model] it's not too bad. 94

the Integra takes a standard6.5", [3 screw mounting system] and the Alpine Type S 6.5" speaker is an over-sized 6.5". [4 screw mounting system]
BTW I have a 94LS. 94

i didnt use the stock mounting holes for the speaker. the mount is plastic so the screws go in real easy. i was saying it fit fine; which it did. he wont need to modify the hole the speaker sits in

No, you said, "they fit directly into the back factory locations".

What your saying is you mounted them to the back factory locations.

I am curious as to how you got a speaker that needs a 5-39/64" diameter mounting hole into a 5" diameter hole?

Unless you are talking about the new SPS 600 line, although not a true standard 6.5" speaker, it only requires a 4-15/16" diameter mounting hole and would fit without mods, [other then mounting screw holes].

So to be clear ej6hatchie, what is the model number of used speakers you are thinking of buying? 94

The Alpine SPS-170a is an over-sized 6.5", so I would still like to know how you fit them "properly" into a standard 6.5" location without a mod? 94
