Default car speaker

I would like to know what brand name are the best for car speakers. I am not looking for subs or anything. But what brand should i get for speakers? and i would like to know if i can make a custom fit 6 x 9 speaker in front for my civic hatchback? I wanna put 2 6 x 9 in the front, and 2 on the side in the back. Is this possible? please help!!! thanks!

I wouldn't recommend 6X9's in the front since they're not meant to be mounted there and it's too much hassle when you could just get some round speakers.
Personally I wouldn't put 6X9's anywhere because I've never found any that I like and none that compare to a well mounted set of 6.5 or 5.25 inch components.

I would have to agree 6X9's are not impressive to me. As far as brand names go. Focal, Infinity Kappa perfects, Alpine type r's (or if you have to money the type x flagship) these brands have my stamp of approval as far a clarity for the money.

Good God man get a sub, not just componets

I dont want subs because they can be easily jacked around here , even with alarm. So i am just looking for the strongest kind of speaker possible, i hope u guys can help me.... I am wondering if i can put the 6 x 9 in the front ? or make it custom fit on the back side?

I like the infinity's myself a lot. For me it would be between those and the Alpine Type S since they run about the same price. Main difference to me is the Infinity uses the silk dome tweeter which is much smoother, but for jazz and stuff like that the true "metalic" sound of the Alpine is great
