Nitrous Bazooka Tubes

Nitrous Bazooka Tubes
Anyone know about these? How they perform? If they are infact the size of a 10lb standard nitrous bottle. How much they cost?
Reason I am looking into them is mostly because I want to save weight, but I need some more bass.
If you have one and have pics ... post em' up!

Re: Nitrous Bazooka Tubes (91GreyAccord)
i swear, its probably just a regular bass tube painted like a nos bottle with a whole bunch of weights inside(like old phone book sor something )
i say they're worthless, just get a single ten in a box and it'll be way louder

I will tell you right now..... Don't waste your money. They are pointless. If I was you I would just get a Adire Audio Shiva with a JBL 600.1 amp and build your own box. Bam all for under the price of the Bazooka. You will have good SQ, Good Bass, and not alot of weight. It is up to you but that is what I would recommend. IMO

have any of you guys heard them? I hear opinions but no one spoke up and said "yes" LOL
a shop I go to had 2 of them powered by a zapco in a 93 civic hatch............ outside in front of the car nice thump, inside the car the hairs on the back of your neck arose..............
for $200+ you could get an alumapro 10" bandpass enclosure and be just as happy as you would with 2 of those tubes, IMO

Hey Lou....Yes I have heard the Original bass tube and the cosmetic NOS version...it will work. What many of you youngsters dont know is that tech has made leaps and bounds..the bazooka design is almost 20 years old..its from an era of which 600 watt d class amp the size of a hardback book Did not exist. If you wanted bass in your vehicle you had a very large very heavy enclosure...which took up space. The bazooka tube has won World Championships and DB drag events....it will give you a decent amount of bass in a portable type of enclosure. Hell I used to pack an 8" amp version when i traveled..the rental car companies were never the wiser..and my ride was more enjoyable. the NOS version is just there to catch the Import market..quite brilliantly I might add....Tuners want light and fast cars..why not add a portable subwoofer enclosure that doesnt look like one and sounds pretty good.
Damn....I really am oldschool.

Why would you ever want to go with a fake n20 bottle?? IMHO it's the stupidest idea that any stereo manufacturer has ever come up with. "Cheq it i'm running nawwwzzz y0".

Unless youre going for show, and not sound or performance, dont waste your money, the SAS Bazooka Tubes are 300 watts and cost around $300. It's your average sales hike to kids worshipping Fast and Furious. I suggest goin with your standard box and concealed subs. I just got 2 12" Rockford-Fosgate Punch Z subwoofers, their max is 400 watts, and they deliver pelnty of bass, and at a much better quality than any tube will give, not to mention, much smaller. i say, stay away from the SAS

Re: Nitrous Bazooka Tubes (Lou_Cypher)
It seems to me that having your sub look like Nitrous would increase the chances of someone stealing it. A bottle is not my idea of incognito.
not only is a band-pass box much heavier than a sealed box made for the same sub, but they are no where near as precise as a sealed box. I have never heard a band-pass box that comes anywhere near my standards for clarity and i have heard hundreds even some with the best subs on the market. i can hear a person with a band-pass box coming down the road, most of them are louder outside the car than inside. SEALED all the way!! If i wanted to hear farting in my car i would give my gassy-*** dog a can of beans and drive him around the block.

Re: Nitrous Bazooka Tubes (incubus)
i simply think they look wack . it looks like a fake pep boys racer trying to impress people with his little noz stickers claiming what he doesnt have. if weight is a big factor in youe vehicle i wouldnt recomend you just sticking with two 6 1/2 inch components. and take off stuff you dont really need like youre A/C for one, power steering, rear seats , cruise control, lighter wheels ect . if i was all into the whole light weight specs of my car the last thing i be thinking about is adding a woofer (bazzoka) into my car.
