Default Newbie Audio Question?

I have an Alpine 9856 head unit and would like to wire it up directly to a Polk Audio component system, will this work? Can I wire it up directly from the hu to the speakers? Would I have to use aftermarket wires and not the OEM harness? Any help to this issue will be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, you can wire the components directly to the HU via the factory wires.

However, without proper amplification, that component set will probably sound no better than what's currently installed...

RMS Power on that system is 125w, so a two-channel amplifier delivering at least that would be a good place to start...

a amp in that price range is going to be a lil pricey for a name brand. Not to many 4 channel in that catagory. Are you trying to stay brand name.

anything with that or more power is good as long as its not that big, need a small sized amp with a lot of power if possible
