New amp here
Ok so im going to get a new amp it is a http://www.etronics.com/p-3946...zilla& and my question is i am going to upgrade to two type e's or maybe r's but atm i have one pioneer ts-w300r the Nominal Power Handling: 150 Watt RMS and Peak Power Handling: 600 Watt would the new amp im getting the blow the sub up? Would the amp have too much power?
No, it would work fine. You can never have too much power, the amp can be turned down to suit your any subs power needs. The Sony amp is very average in quality, but you could still get 2 type e subs to replace your pioneer and rock out. The amp would be about maxed out on the new subs. Build the box right and you should be in good shape.
That amp does not produce 1200watts. Look at amps in terms of actual power or rms. The Sony will be pushing roughly 500watts rms, so 4ga should be fine. You could also get a capacitor to help your cars power system and it will help the life of the amp.
Ok but all together is that a good amp im gonna order it 2morrow off buy.com for 139 bucks when i get a few extra bucks i wanted to get 2 type e alpines would this amp be good for them. But im talking about getting them alpines mcuh later in a couple months.
Personally I would buy this amp http://www.crutchfield.com/App...p=115 . Probably underrated in terms of power(rms watts), vs. the Sony overrated(or it will sacrifice sound quality). Also, when ordering from crutchfield or any certified reseller you get the full manufacturers warranty. And they are practically the same price because of the free shipping.

When you bridge a 2 channel amp it becomes mono. And you will bridge any amp you get. You only need an stereo amp for speakers that produce sound which might be recorded on different channels. Subs don't produce that sound. crutchfield and other sites have tons of info if you need help hooking it up.
