first....i got a 2002 s2k

I just purchased the Polk MMC6500 and while trying to install the tweeter ran into some problems.

Maybe some MMC6500 users can chime in

First pic shows how it comes, basically with its on tweeter pod



Second pic shows how its mounted and glued in there.



Ive tried to mount them with the pod which was too big.

Ive read the install FAQs and it never mentioned anything about aftermarket tweeters coming with its own pod. Im kinda scared to try to break the Polk tweeter pod and damaging the tweeter.

Anyone have any suggestions?

 

aren't you missing something? the tweeter usually has something to mount into, flush bezel, or a surface bezel.

 

i think i found my answer. im going to try a dremel tool to get it to fit.
