i purchased a pioneer cd deck over the weekend. the car previously had a aftermarket deck in it and the last owner left the wire harness in it. I just connected all the wires accordingly to the color codes, yellow to yellow, red to red, and black to ground and all the speaker wires but the cd deck doesn't turn on.
instead when i connect the red and yellow from the radio together and touch it to the yellow(battery) from the car it comes on.
what am i doing wrong or missing?

 

Your switched power wire is not functioning. Have you checked the fuse? If I remember right, and it's in a Honda, it's going to be in the fuse panel under the dash...
