multiple headunits?
can i just "splice" another headunit into my factory radio harness?
CDs sound way better when played in my aftermarket player, BUT i don't like the way it looks or the "visual attention" it may attract. so i want to put my factory Honda radio in the factory console location, and hide my aftermarket unit (its got a remote anyways). aaand i want both of them to function.
would doing so affect the sound when using either one?

No.
It can be done, but great care needs to be taken to "isolate" each deck's audio from the other, whether you use relays or switches...
Possible? Yes. Worth it, meh, I personally wouldn't bother...

That's really the best way. By the way, the remote is only going to work if it has line of sight with the deck. If you are planning on installing the deck in the glove box the remote wont work.

Install the aftermarket HU in the stock location, "peel" the front off the stock HU and turn it into a "dummy" plate you can cover the aftermarket HU, [once you remove it's face plate].
If you spend a little time on modding the removed OEM HU face, once it is in place the dash will look stock.
If you want to keep both and have both work you will need two 4PDT and one SPDT relays, an adapter harness, [to fit the stock radio plug] and a rev. harness. [to fit the stock HU] and "great care needs to be taken to "isolate" each deck's audio from the other", all the speaker leads and the stock HUs acc. lead need to be switched, soldered and shrink tubed to the relays.
The "dummy face" is more practical, easier and cheaper.
