I'd go with 3 JL's, and RF is overrated IMO.

my buddy had that setup on his S10 Extreme. It sounded nice, but nothing compared to the three JL's I had.. The subs got fucked up a couple of times too.. Maybe they were defective. They were replaced under warranty, his newest set has held out though.

over time 2 subs are going to be better then 3. when you have 3 over time the beat will change and then your screwed. if i was you i would go with 2 audiobahn high excursions like 12''s and put them in a ported box. ported not bandpass!!! and then get a good amp. that system will blow your brains out!!!!

Please enlighten me as to how "the beat will change" in a sub box that has 3 subs but yet they are all connected to 1 speaker terminal thus each sub receives the same amount of power and the same exact signal.

I had a 10 MTX T5000 in a custom box and it hit HARD. I got 124 dB in my camry with an old POS kenwood 150 W amp. If you have 3 subs in parallel, you are going lower than 2 ohms, and you better make sure your amp can handle it.

The MTX Thunder box that comes from MTX preloaded with the 3 10" subs is actually wired at 4 OHMs. It has 3, 12 OHM woofers in it so when wired parallel the speakers read 4 OHMS.
