melting mettle

Default melting mettle

im not shure what there called but those things that are put in sub boxes to connect the wires too. on the inside on the ground wire that runs from the sub keeps melting threw threw the mettle tab on the back of that plastic thing and i dount know why dose anyone know why its doing this i have a sony 1000 watt amp running to a 12" 1200 watt amp

ya that's them the mettle prongs that stick out the back of those to attach the wires is melted off on the negative side

something is in their causing a bad connection, dirt or something, that is the only reason it should melt off.

by a new one if you can get the old one off, i dont know why it would melt unless you had a short somewhere somehow
