Looking for mild DC2 Integra stereo recommendations
I'm fine with the stock deck.
I'd like to improve the stock system in my ITR.
What needs to be done. I'm thinking replacement of the speakers, and a sub in the trunk in the spare tire well.
Any brand recommendations / input on what I should do?

I'd go for 6.5" Infinity Reference or Kappas in the front. See how you like it. It should make a difference.
Why don't you want to change the CD player? It usually makes the biggest difference in a mild car audio setup. Since you prefer the stock unit, I'd recommend a simple, plain-looking, quality aftermarket CD player...the Nakimichi CD-35Z would do nicely. Extremely plain-looking (looks stock) and great quality.
Are you more geared towards better sound clarity? More bass?

Thanks for the reply.
Looking for sound clarity and accurate reproduction not over bassy, or too bright.
Any other suggestions, would the car benefit with a replacment of the stock speaker wires?

is it possible to change your stock head unit when you have a stock cd changer to have the aftermarket head unit still control the stock cd changer?
where can i find one of those spare tire subs?

If you're gonna put in the spare tire subs you will need an amp. JL makes the subs, three 10" with the enclosure that goes in the spare tire well.
If you get an amp it's suggested that you change your head unit as well.
Some head units allow you to use the OEM changer with an adapter. Some don't. Ask around.

I wouldnt bother changing the stock wires unless you are going to amp all the speakers which it doesnt sound like you are going to do. And I would recomend Audiobahn speakers. My cousin has some in his nissan sentra and those things dont distort till it is so loud it hurts your ears. They also handle a hell of alot of wattage.
