Lighting Problems w/ CD Player?
Allright.. I drive a 94 accord (cd5). I turn on the headlights and the only lights that do come on is the headlights. The tailights, interior lights, sidemarkers, corners, etc.. dont work. The only way you can make the lights work is by manual action.. like pressing brake.. and flicking turn signal on.. or hitting hazard buttons.. etc.. This is really pissing me off because I cant drive around at night with no lights... I got **** to do to. Well.. I posted this in accord forum.. but nobody is answering.
P.S - I checked all fuses, especially the "Small Lights Fuse", and everything seems to be fine. Somebody told me it could be because I installed an aftermarket cd player a few months ago? Im Clueless

i don't think it's the cd player at all. My guess is that it is the fuse switch. Check the one under the hood also, not just the one under the steering column. Or try to disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes, and then reconnecting it. You might have a short somewhere though. Could happen. Never hurts to try the above methods. Whether or not it works, it's worth a try.
If it was me, I'd check the fuse block under the hood. I'd also try to replace that fuse under the dash too - sometimes they look fine, but are still bad.
In addition, I'd grab a DMM and start testing. I doubt it, but it could be a bad headlight switch too....what happens when you turn it on to just the parking light position?
I'd go searching for a helms manual and then start tracing wires...unless this problem began when you installed the headunit - I don't think that is part of the problem.

The problem came out of the blue.. if I just flick on the the parking lights.. nothing happens.. the car doesnt respond to it... But the weird thing is that the headlights work. I replaced the fuse "Small Lights" with a fresh one.. still had the same damn problem.. its toooo weird.
disconnect the cd player, try it again see if it happens still,
if it didnt happen, check wiring on the cd player...suggestions: maybe your alternator can't handle it ? battery can't handle it?
gud luk

the only way the radio could affect your parking lights would be if you wired wrong into the ilumination wire, and if that was the case the parking light fuse would blow when you put it in, and there is a seperate parking light and headlight fuse, meaning that if the parking light fuse was bad the headlights would work, but nothing in back, and no parking lights up front
disconnecting you battery is not going to make them work again, your parking lights aren't monitored by any kinda ecu that might need reset,
unplug the radio, turn the light switch to parking lights, and check the fuses with either a multimeter, or testlight
