Other then the L7 8" being a 450W/900W sub and the L5 8" being a 300W/600W sub they are pretty much the same, using the same sized cabinets, and for an 8", [either one] they sure belt out the bass. 94

How small of a box?

I need something that uses a really small box. Thinking of uses one of those new pioners.

These ones.

I was thinking one of these in a 10 or an 8inch kicker L5.

The NSX sub is in the passenger floorboard. I bought an illusion audio 10 a while back and it sucked IMO.

http://www.kicker.com/06/tech-...B.pdf The L7 is pretty much the same.

If room is an issue, maybe look into the JL Audio 6W0... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/prod...id=23 94

No room for a port would have to be sealed.

How about a suggestion of a really good 6X9?

I have a 94 Accord EX as my beater.
Would like to put a decent set of 6X9's that are capable of some bass. Then I can get rid of the 12's in the trunk and get my trunk space back.

any decent 6x9's will work, run a decent amount of juice to them (around their rms rating), they'll sound even better if you put them in small boxes. mtx or kicker will work good

also how is the output comparison between the l5 anf l7?

I know you moved from the subject of a Solobaric 8 but my buddy has 2 L7 8s in his Firebird and I'd put them up against alot of 10s and even some 12s... Just get a good amp for them lol

Oh, you said "really good", then you may want to look at the HERTZ High Energy HCX 690, a really good 6x9 or maybe the Energy ECX 690 or Dieci DCX 690... http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/default_en.htm 94
