Heard one of these in a civic other day at an audio shop. It was there shops car and had alot of custom work. It was pounding pretty hard with clean sound but want to get some opinions on the amp above and there quality and reliability.
Then I heard it today in a competion, and got a decible rating of around 120-140
The guy was running the Kove ZD 2000-V for his 18 inch U2
which is this sub below. and had the ZX 1000 AX for his mids and tweets
Needless to say very good sounding sub. opinions?

120-140 is a long range. 120 is a fairly tame system. 140 is a descently loud street boomer.
Every once in a while, someone asks about kove. I don't think I have ever read a review on them. If it sounds good, compare it to some other subs/amps in the same price range. If you like it best still then buy it. Give us a review afterwards.

In a competition awhile ago, one U2 kove-armagedon out pounded 4 rockford 12's.
May have to wait on some more opinions

Yeah, my single diamond 12 out does many multi sub systems. That does not say anything. There is no mystery to bass production. Once you sit down and crunch the numbers the reason for differences will become apparent.

TO be honest outdoing 4 rockfords is not a big acomplishment. Normal punches suck. And even the HX2's aren't that impresive. My old crappy infinity ref. (300 watts) could hold it's own agains two punches.
Well i dont like how the products are presented in general on the site. They use too many adjectives when talking about certain aspects of their design.. ie "mammoth 4" voice coil" or "gigantic motor structure". A good product should speak for itself.
i could be way off but when i see this site i think of them as the APC of speakers.

Kove Audio has quickly become the choice of some of the biggest names in the music and 12-volt industry. Celebrities like Fred Durst and DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit, Matt Sorum of Guns n' Roses and the Cult, Mick Fleetwood, Grammy Winner Everlast, Rikki Rockett of Poison and many more have all chosen Kove Audio products..

As far as SPL is concerned Kove is awesome. I've heard several setups that were disgustingly loud (Well into the 150's). I believe they have a couple of records under their belt, but I'm not sure.

If I'm not mistaken, Kove audio was founded by the main engineer from Lanzar after he left the company. I think even it's his last name.
If you remember, one time Mick Fleetwood sponsored a Lanzar add on a car audio magazine and showed his personal car with a professional install that he said the sound compared to that of a recording studio. All the components were Lanzar. Back then Lanzar was good. I guess we cannot say the same now a days given its main man is out of it and a company like Pyramid bought the name of Lanzar and the rest of the crew so they wouldn't be extinct by now. So, you see the relationship know?

Obviously none of you know audio too well in here. Until you have heard a good system with these subs, dont talk badly about them. You guys remind me of Magazine racers who talk like they know **** but dont have experience. LISTEN TO THE ****** THINGS, they are some of the best subwoofers that you can buy. I highly recommend them to anyone serious about car audio.
I remember sitting inside a Kove Audio demo van back at the Iasca finals (Greenville, SC... in 97 or 98 I believe). It pounded, definitely attracted many people when I played some Snoop Dogg "What's my Name." Unfortunately, about 1/2 of the woofers developed tears in the surround by the end of the day. That's not good... I would hope their products have improved.
