Default Killswitch amp rating?

Looking to bump up the security in my hatch, so I'm planning on a battery kill switch and a fuel pump kill switch. Searched and found various DIYs, but I was wondering what amp rating i should use for switches.

The battery kill switch i was looking at has 100 continuous amp rating, 500 surge amp rating, will that suffice? its an OEM 500CCA honda battery relocated to the trunk

The fuel pump kill switch i was planning on just an autozone on/off switch, but would the switch heat up without a relay? what amp rating should i use?

thanks in advance for any input

won't go into too much detail about my kill switch on here, but this is the guide I used...found it really helpful

He says in it about not going below 20 amp, but pretty sure when I done mine I used 16 or 17amp and have no problems what so ever.

so you're running a simple switch with no relay?

already know where my switches are going and whatnot, so no need to get specific and give away your secrets lol

I'd recommend using a relay for the fuel pump kill.

Keep in mind the fuel pump kill is easily bypassed by running a power wire from the battery to the fuel pump.

No need for details, if you have a main relay kill switch that says enough.

Also, the link is for a main relay kill switch, not a fuel pump kill switch; totally different. And he's using a 5amp switch, no mention of 20amp. The main relay kill is for a ground and it's only putting out a few milliamps.

The main relay is disrupting the ground wire whereas the fuel pump is disrupting the power wire.
