Keyless entry problem
Car- 94 integra ls, automatic
Alarm- Clifford (unsure of model #)
Some facts about the car-
Broken locks(Keys do not open either doors only trunk)
Able to pop the hood with the use of hood pins
Situation
So as I returned to my car from work, the power was completely dead. I didnt leave anything on, so I am unsure of what drained the power. I took the battery home, left the car, and my voltmeter read 12.6 on the battery.
The next day I returned with the battery and when I connected the cables, the alarm went off. I now have power to the car, but the keyless entry does not work to open the doors or turn off the alarm. I went to radioshack and replaced the a27 battery and still no luck.
AAA came to tow my car back to my house, but before he did, he propped the door open using the wedge and long bar. With the battery disconnected the AAA guy told me to put the car in Neutral and have the key in the ignition on the "on" position. He connected the battery and it was working perfectly. The alarm didnt react at all.
The car is running fine now, but I want to be assured that this doesnt happen again. Is there anything specific that I should be keeping my eye out for?
Thanks for your help h/t, I always appreciate it

So wait... I don't get what you're asking...
Are you asking how to prevent your battery from dying again? Trace the problem with a meter, and fix whatever's draining power when the key is off.
Oh, and fix your locks?

Sorry about the misinterpretation
It's now 2 days later and the battery hasn't died.
The problem is that the keyless entry isn't working properly. Sometimes, the car isn't even picking up the signal, and other times, when I press the lock button, the doors lock then unlock by itself.
I know it would be in my best interest to fix the actual key cylinders.
As far as the keyless remote goes, I don't know why it is acting up. Any ideas?

Its hard to say, your going to have to diagnos the problem step by step. So you already replaced the battery in the remote, so thats out of the question. Next your saying that the range acts up time to time. I would check the connection to the antenna. Also if your able to, try getting to the alarm brain itself and test if the brain is sending out a signal.
So in short, check the antenna connection, check the brain of the unit. If worse comes to worse, try reprogramming the key fob itself.
