Default Keeping the sub in one place...

How can I keep my sub in just one place without bolting it to the body??? My duct tape just broke.

Put some Velcro (hook sided) along the bottom on the box.

Lots of it.

Good idea but that would mess up my carpet after awhile of being taken in and out because of races...

I like to keep my spare in there, what happens if you guys get a flat anyway??

I was expecting some sort of crack at the ducttape comment but ok.. works for me!

Brackets!!!

Get some 1/8" thick aluminum stock that is about 2" wide. Cut two pieces to put on the underside of your box using a file and smoothing the edges with a hacksaw. Place the on opposite ends on the underside of the box. Each piece with have 3" of overhang on each end. Drill a hole in it.

Make a duplicate of the spare tire cover (particleboard/plastic depending on the year of your car) out of 3/4" MDF wood. Sand and round all the corners.

Get 2 sets of hood pins. Put them on your new spare cover so that the brackets for the enclosure line up. Perforate 4 holes in the carpet to let the pins come though.

And there you have it. Keeps your box down, looks clean and easily removable. I haven't tried it before, but it was something I just thought of.

As for a lack of a spare tire: AAA PLUS, a can of fix it flat and cell phone.

take a bungy cord and wrap it around the box and hook each end on the seat hinges... Should be no more than 5 bucks. That way the box sits against the rear seats and wont move anywhere.

go to wal mart, pep boys, or a place like linens and things and pick up some stuff that is used in drawers to keep things from sliding around. pep boys stuff they advertise to keep things in the tool bod from banging into eachother. Linens & things has it to put in silverware drawers. cut out a piece of this and staple it to the bottom of the sub. depending on how top heavy your bod is this should work pretty well......

hmm I use those 90 degree brackets w/ wingnuts which is pretty easy to remove.. but then that constitutes "bolting" which you said you didnt want to do ... haha its funny to see my friends unbolted box.. when he drives hard then pops his trunk his sub is all in an odd position.. hmm maybe you can secure it to the rear Strut tower bar (if you have one) and have a quick release somehow..
