you're right...i jsut can't understand why someone would need to go to such great lengths to protect a car. why live in an area where you have to worry about somethign as simple as parking your car in your driveway at night. i can leave my car unlocked for a week and nobody touches it. i hope he shoots someone trying to steal his car so he can go to jail for murder 1.

i'm in Cali. and it ain't got nothing on N.O. Whenever you live in an affluent neighborhood it is a good idea to have more than two blocks seperating it from the hood.

I'm not sure what the picture or the content of the original post was, but why should law abiding citizens have to move to a different location because of thieves? You make it sound like thieves have the right to do what they do. Why should someone NOT have the right to keep their property untouched (regardless of where they live)? You act like we're criminals and have to accomodate thieves. Maybe one day you'll be less naive.

don't shoot them it's stupid, just beat them up with a baseball bat
seriously though, if thieves are a problem get an alarm and wait, first of all moving is way expensive and if everyone moved after they had been broken into this country would be full of RV's and ish like that driving from town to town constantly.

i agree its an unfortunate situation but how will it change? you think one day the thieves are going to wake up and all of a sudden decide they're going to follow an honest life? there will always be theft but some areas are worse than others. i live in a very low crime area just outside of toronto but if it got to the point where i needed to take someones life to keep my car i'd have to reconsider my current situation. thats not something i want to deal with. i dont want to go to sleep every night wondering what wont be there when i wake up in the morning. i'm not saying that if theres one theft that we should all go run and hide but when it gets to the point where you need a gun...what is the attraction of living there?
thats my 2 cents...maybe i see things differently because i was raised in canada.

^Take into consideration that not everyone is as fortunate as you are. I myself have lived in my neighborhood for 11 years. Over the past few years 2 of our cars have been broken into and one attempt at a 3rd vehicle. Our house has also been broken into once and have had things stolen. If it were as easy to move to a new house and neighborhood as it is to say it then we would have done it years ago. But as my families' situation stands now it's not possible and we just have to accept it and stay put. I'm just speaking on behalf of those whose lives are not as easy as yours.
