uhh dumbass.... how do you get 600 watts? Its 150x2 or 300x1 bridgd. Not 600. So before you start calling names get your facts straight. And edit your auction so you dont mislead someone from buying your 600w amp.

you dont know anything about stero systems. the 2 after 300 means the number of channels. therefore the amperage is divided by two hence meaning that each channel only has 150

you are such a ******* idiot....and who's the dumbass now?!?!

oh, and your auction still has mistakes and is misleading, shall we take a look at the first line:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">JL AUDIO 300x2 RMS AMP</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yeah, 300 x 2 - nice work there champ, apparently you failed at reading

And I'm sure lots of people are excited to see how this thing has been treated based on this statement:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">only problem with the amp is that 1 of the allen wrech things is stripped, but you just have to use size larger to get it, and with the larger wrech it works perfect... also one of the rca inputs has a slight crack, but this affects nothing, everything still works great.....</TD></TR></TABLE>

Ummm, that makes to PROBLEMS, plural - not one problem...sheesh

To all the haters, Jl audio patented something called thge RIPS system when they started producing amps, This stands for Regulated Ineligent Power System. It regulates the power, and the power rating on the outside of the amp is correct, it will produce 300 watts per channel, for a grand total of 600 watts. If you want to hate some more do better research. Dont attack people unless you really know what you are talking about, you only end up looking dumb. you cold hook up six subs to this amp and get 300 per sub, as long it is wired to the correct ohm load.
check the website for the details.

Actually, it stands for Regulated Intelligent Power Supply....

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> It regulates the power, and the power rating on the outside of the amp is correct, it will produce 300 watts per channel, for a grand total of 600 watts. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Ummm, no it doesn't....shall I prove it to you, I would have thought reading their web site was enough....please, learn to read:

http://jlaudio.com/amps/3002.html

in case you missed it, I'll make it even more clear:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Rated Power (stereo):
150 W RMS x 2 @ 1.5 ohm-4 ohm
(11V-14.5V)
Rated Power (bridged):
300 W RMS x 1 @ 3 ohm-8 ohm
(11V-14.5V)</TD></TR></TABLE>

When I went to school 150 x 2 = 300, and 300 x 1 is equal to 300....nowhere, and I do mean nowhere does it say 600 except for in your dilusional head.

Starting to feel stupid yet.....

By your same logic the 300/4 should be a 1200W amp....but wait, the 1000/1 is about twice it's size......

gotta be getting closer to the dumb stage.....

If you actually understood what the rips system was, this would be clear to you and you wouldn't be talking ****...

The RIPS system regulates the rail voltage so that the amplifier will make the same power between 1.5 and 4 ohm per channel and between 11 and 15v of input iirc.....all this means is that if you buy a 300/2 you have purchased a 300w amplifier - doesn't matter what configuration you run it in (bridged, not bridged, low impedances, etc). You always have 300W...s.ame with a 300/4, 500/1, etc, etc (I hope you are seeing the trend).

c'mon...should I keep going.....you gotta be embarassed by now

JL Audio also recommends a 40A fuse for this amp. So let's do a little more math...you say this thing does 600W right - I mean 300/2 is clearly = 600

if it really did 600, then it would need 1200W/14.4 = 83A of current to make that kind of power.....and that's with 50% efficiency and being kind assuming you charging system can actually provide 14.4v.

Hmm, let's try that math again with the real power output - 300W 600W/14.4 = 41.6A Hmmm, that's a hell of a lot closer to JL's recommendation of 40A.

And 6 subs with 300W per sub - ummm, yeah sure, I don't even think I need to address that one.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">If you want to hate some more do better research. Dont attack people unless you really know what you are talking about, you only end up looking dumb.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Now if you want more proof I've got it. Here's a hint, don't open your mouth and spit out some techno-babble unless you really have the brains to back it up or you will just look like a ******* moron. Something tells me that you are the only person on this thread looking dumb, so thanks for playing...and really, take your own advice next time and do some more research.
