Ipod to Stock Headunit
Have any of you guys used this device? I have a prelude whose factory cd player is a seperate unit (kind of like short din device) that is stacked directly above the main reciever. Do you think it will still work?

I have the neo ion - what it does is make a direct connection to the stock deck through the cd changer port. It then tricks the deck into thinking the iPod is a cd changer so you get really good quality sound. It also charges the unit and you still have all your iPod functions. Take a look at their web site http://www.mp3yourcar.com Another nice thing is it was easy to install and took me about 10 minuets.

It is expensive, but is the only way to get higher quality sound than through a cassette adaptor while keeping your head unit stock.
Buying a cheap head unit with an aux-in might be a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for and a sub-$150 head unit w/aux-in is not something that I would want in my car (assuming one does exist)
Personally, I went with the icarplay wireless by monster. It is a combination FM modulator and cigarette-lighter adaptor. It uses the port on teh bottom of the iPod, so you get line-level sound and a charger with one connection (meaning only one wire cluttering up your dash). If I had the money, though, I would definitely go with the neo ion, or any of the other knock-offs of the Dension Icelink. http://icelink.densionusa.com/
