Ipod interface review...
Well a few days ago i was pretty damn excited to get my alpine 9825 and ipod interface installed into my car. Well after a few days of listening to it, i can say that i am happy for the fact that its nice to have it in my car. its easy to control and i now finally have music to listen to in the car, also i have complete control over my ipod without having to actually use the ipod itself, everyhting can be done at the head unit.. On the other hand, the sound quality is pretty shitty at a moderate volume. At first i thought i did somthing wrong, but i was mistaken. I didn't expect cd quality sound, but not as bad as it is... the speakers distort like I said at a moderate level of volume... but with that CD, even a burnt CD, with a shitty quality CD too..... right now, im kinda ho hum about the interfcace thing... anyone else have any reviews about it? also does anyone know a way that i can clean up the sound too.. TIA

if you use a kca420i, the ipod goes into sleep mode and none of the ipod controls work. it's cool how it charges and you can control it like a cd changer thru the deck, but......
i have found that people who are experienced ipod users hate it because the blue/black lcd display is MUCH nicer than the primitive cheap display on the lower end alpine decks. and navigation thru the menus using the alpine deck is lousy because of it. they would prefer to use a aux line input only like the kca121b to control the unit.
the kca420i ipod interface works much better with a ivad300 7" lcd touchscreen or cda9835 (or new 9855 -biolite display) because it has a better display.

well i went to the alpine website and got some good info.. i also took my ipod and changed the audio settings, i have it on bass boost, and when put it on no EQ setting at all, and now it souds better. Im using the 9826 and it works gerat for me now.. almost as clear as a CD. now im happy with it
