Default intermediate subs? need help!!

This question is for the audio gurus...

I'm puttin together an intermediate level audio system for my car and I've pretty much got all the components selected/ordered except for the subwoofers.
I'm going for sound quality, and kind of raw hard hitting bass.
I'll be using a two 15" DVC subs in a sealed enclosure that I will CNC myself out of 3/4" MDF.
I'm not looking to spend any more than $250.00-$300.00 for it so I've narrowed it down to two subwoofers in that price range that I think would work well.
First one is the 15" Kicker Comp VR
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-e...15VR4

Second one I have in mind is the 15" Alpine Type R
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-e...R1542
(Disregard the prices, I can get either for well under $250.00-$300.00)

Please feel free to leave any input if you have experience with either of these subs or any other suggestions for what I'm looking for.

I have used Kicker Comp VR's before and have seen the voice coils on those subs go out & I haven't used the Alpine sub yet. Have you looked into the JL or MTX line of subs? Is this going into a Teg by any chance? (I'm guessing by your screen name)

The cvr's sound good and are loud, but it all depends on the enclosure. I like the JL W3 line because it's an affordable quality product. Look into a JL 12W3. Or the MTX T5500 or T4500 subs. What amp are you gonna be using for your subs?

go wit alpine type r's. well worth the money IMO. i used to have both kicker and alpine. and i rather go wit alpine. quality and material of a type R will surpass any kicker cvr product subwoofer.
