Default Installing indash dvd head unit

for the wire that is supposed to connect with the e-brake light, can i hook it up to the constant 12 volt or the antenna/remote wire. i want the screen to turn on regardless of whether the e-brake is up.

its more for show and for passenger enjoyment. i wont be watching movies while driving.

thanks

usually its ground. your going to need to use a DMM in your car, and see what happens when you pull up the ebrake.

my car was a short to ground. (normally open circuit). i just spliced my brake switch into my ground wire. (not saying its the same for your car!)

what brand is it, cause most of the indash, just need to ground it, but in some other you either need a switch, or may need a module in order to makeit work properly...

I mean rule #5...

5. Video bypass, Remote start on 5 speeds and illegal acts. I know most know how to do it and it is against the law period and is not safe. So its not legal here. Search the net or find out on your own. Its not that hard if you read. Make a thread on asking how to bypass any safety features and it will be locked depending on how the thread is going. Remote start too. If not using a alarm meant for remote start on a 5 speed or adding a safety bypass it will be locked. 4 3 2...

I am surprised it has not happened yet. 94
