Default Installing DVD player in minivan

Thinking of going to Best Buy (or other shops) to buy and have them install a fold down DVD player in our Ford Freestar van. Nothing special. Just something for the kids to watch on the road.

Are there any questions I should ask before writing the check?

There's really not alot to it. Just remember that with most overheads, there will be a sizable hole cut in the headliner when they install it. Other than that, they're pretty straightforward.

Just don't get the "Initial" brand or whatever Best Buy sells... Crap-ola. The DEI ones were top notch, and the Sony Dreamsystems that I sold/installed back a few years were good too.

And you still write checks?

Just stick with a reputable brand and you should be good. They offer extended warranties on all this type of stuff and that is something I would recommend if you drop allot of cash on it. Having them install it will give you a lifetime warranty on the install as well I do believe. So if it breaks and needs to be replaced they will cover the labor as well with the extended service plan.

True story.

Was going to mention the service plan, but forgot.

Thanks guys. Like aways, run by HT.com before I spend.

I thought about that for a second, but "before I swipe my card" just don't sound right.
