Default installing deck issue(yellow fuse wire)

hi. i have a 98 civic ex and i recently posted an issue about how my deck doesn't save. i was told that this was because something was wrong with the fuse wire(yellow). i then pulled out the yellow wire all the way to find that it wasn't conneted at all. i'm unsure of which wire i'm supposed to connect it to because i don't see any yellow wires that aren't connected and the other wires are all mixed colors. thanks

Save what? Presets, settings, etc? Probably needs a constant 12V+

OEM wire colors do not correspond in any way to aftermarket wire colors. I don't know why people think they would.

I've never heard of a deck that would even work without the constant 12v connected. What kind of deck is it?

Does your stereo have a harness plugged into your car, or was your factory harness cut off?

Your stereo's yellow wire should be connected to your car's white/blue wire.

"I've never heard of a deck that would even work without the constant 12v connected. What kind of deck is it?" LOL, Well sonny, in the olden days the 12V+ constant on HUs where actually for presets/clock memory only, just like most stock HUs, still found in some aftermarket HUs, but with higher and higher power internal amps the ACC. and constant powers have kind of switched rolls, the constant is now the main power and acc. is nothing more then a trigger lead. 94
