i'm about out of ideas on how to get my system (in my expedition) working properly so hopefully you guys can help.
up until now i've been powering some polk speakers with an alpine (cda-9827) headunit. since i didn't have an amp at the time, i just tapped into the stock stereo wiring harness and everything was working fine.
today i finally got around to rewiring the car for an amp (xtant 403a). i went ahead and rewired everything including running speaker wire into the doors and two pairs of RCAs (front and rear). for some reason, it seems like all the power is being sent to the right side of the car. if i adjust the balance all the way to the left, i can barely hear the music. i flipped the RCAs around and all the sound went to the left side of the car -- same problem as before, just opposite side of the car. i even tried another set of RCAs but there was no change.
i tried playing with the settings on the headunit but no luck. what do you think the problem could be? headunit? amp? wiring? any help would be greatly appreciated since i need the car to be back together by tonight.
