Install issues HELP!
car: 2000 civic
alarm: compustar 900FMS
There are a number of issues i am having right off the bat
1) i can only program the one way remote, when i try to program the two way the alarm does not respond and it exits programming mode.
2) With the one way remote the car arms but the door locks do not lock and the alarm will not go off if i open the door when it is armed. It has an aftermarket stereo and the dome light does not turn on. Should there be two wires from the stock stereo to connect to make the dome light work? I taped into the lock/unlock wires in the blue harness of the control module under the drivers dash and the grn/red wires in the door sill for sensing.
3) I was testing sensors and when i set off the hood sensor the alarm went off as it should but i could not disarm it. I had to cut power to the alarm in order for it to stop. If i press the unlock button the alarm should stop going off?
Thats all for now. i have a feeling some more issues will pop up but i need to fix these first.
