what do you guys think about the Immobilizer?

What does it exactly do?

so far i got.. something like you need a chip to get the car started (more info)... is

there anyway a thief and still steal the car? hot wire or something?

It just stops the starter, ignition coil, fuel pump, ecu or all of them from working so that the car won't start.
A thief can bypass the immobiliser if they have enough time and know what they're doing but hopefully they'll get worried and move onto another car

 

hmmm... so the car can still get stolen... damn
