Default Ignition Lock

I tried posting this in the Accord forum, but couldn't get any replies. So ill try here

A couple months ago my accord got stolen, i got it back 2 days later. Now i never got around to it, and now im gonna have to get this fixed.
The whole ignition lock cylinder is just broken out. I can use my key to catch where the lock would go i guess. So now i got a used ignition with lock key and wires. But heres my other problem. One day i went to start my car with a screwdriver, and touched the circuit board thats in the steering colum and caused a spark. Since then my shifter locks and i gotta use the shiftlock release. Also my horn doesn't work, and neither does cruise control.

The circuit board was cracked when i got it back from the towing company, but my horn still worked, and i didn't have to use the shiftlock. I dont know about cruise control.

So i would like to know what that board is called, and if that would most likely be the problem, or /and if its the fuses.

Thanks alot

I would go through and check the fuses under your dash and hood. The horn and cruise doesnt run off the same fuse. The shift lock, I believe, is electrical, so that also could be a fuse. Otherwise you may want to look at getting a whole new ignition system. Sorry I cant be more help

Yea i didn't know there was a fusebox in the engine to. I checked before and found that the fuse for the horn and brake lights is the same one, and i know when i replace it the shiftlock problem will be fixed as well.

I also got my new ignition lock today. Mechanic says around $120 to install. Now i wanna attempt this myself. I see theres 2 plugs that connect to it, 1 i know has to be that little circuit board that is broken in the steering colum, i still need to find out what that board is exactly. The other is a much larger plug and im gonna say thats the main one, which would actually control the ignition.

I know theres the safety bolts, and i would have to use a saw to make cuts in the bolts, to take them off with a flathead.

Is that basically it?
