I got a set of Xtreme door kits for my 98 Integra.

I took off my door panel and wonder where to put it. Should I remove the plastic sheet that's glued to the door and apply dynamat to the inside of layer of the door? Or should I just past the dynmat over the plastic sheet?

Any pictures of before and after installation of dynamats?

 

it'd make sense to attach it directly to the door, cuz if u put it on the plastic, it can fall off or slip or somethign.. just take off the plastic, slap on the dynamat and put the plastic over it and the door cover over that..

also i hope your not planning on taking ur car to the strip or trying to get good times at the track, cuz that **** weighs down ur car alot.. very heavy stuff

 

er...the whole door kit weights 6.5lbs

So, I put in inside the hallow part of the door? But toward the outside or toward the inside wall?

I actually have this on my car...I think it is totally worth the extra weight...I makes your speakers sound a lot better, also road noise will be reduced a bit...remove the plastic film, cut out nessecary hole for certain things to fit and not protrude, and just make sure you clean the surface before you apply the dynomat...thats it...oh did i mention to clean the surface....

 

You mean INSIDE the door or outside where the plastic film once was?
If on the outside, do I still need that plastic after I put on dynamats?

What product did you use to clean the surface?

 

Use rubbing alcohol to clean the surface of the door. I have dynamat applied to my doors as well. I installed it on the actual door skin and the surface the door panel attaches to as well.

really? Over the door skins...hmm...will it stick though? That skin looks fragile.
