How Hard is it to...
How Hard is it to Install a alarm, no remote start and window roll up and down b/c best buy and circuit city want about 600 for everything. is it worth the time and diffuculty? i just wanted to know b/c i dont want my car to get stolen and i live in philly so cars r missing like 5 mins. thanks

well its really not that hard just time consuming and there are some pretty tight areas to work in. check on the web and do a search for wiring diagrams so you know which wires to tap into. also this has been discussed a few times before. make sure you have plenty of daylight (or a few really good lights). a razor blade, some wire strippers, smash caps, i would recommend soldering, i didn't do it with mine but i would recommend it. and i know if its DEI, they have installation manuals you can't print off the website.

Easy depending on how long you want to do it
If you have installed your own car audio system before then you can probably do an alarm. You will need a dmm in addition to the stuff previously listed.

if you know a little bit about electronics and you can figure it out it makes the job much easier.. but what you want to do can be done just by following a few simple steps or a wiring schematic... check out http://www.the12volt.com they have pretty much everything you need to know there.. hope this helped..
