How to fix constant power on cd player
I bought a car that for some reason the constant power doesnt work, in order for me to get the cd player to turn on I have to connect both the RED and the BLACK wires together.
Does anyone know why this is? I checked fuses and all are good.
Is there a easy fix to this say runing a diffrent contant power from somewhere else?

first what year and model of car?
2nd what type of cd payer?
next grab a multi-meter. connect the black probe to a good ground point. next touch the red probe to each fuse (the car is to be off). you want to see the same voltage on both sides of the fuse. If you find a fuse that has voltage on one side but not the other...chances are its blown .

Same questions^^^.
On most Honda/Acura the fuse for constant power is in the engine bay fuse box and almost always a 7.5A fuse.
With that said it is always best to run a fused line, [12ga] from the batt. to behind the HU and connect the HUs constant power, [yellow] to it, the stock constant, [white/blue most of the time] is not really heavy enough to supply the current needed by aftermarket HUs.
Don't forget to properly cap off the stock constant lead and replace the blown fuse, it is almost always also the fuse for ECU memory. 94
