Horn weak with engine running.
I recently purchased a wolo low tone horn (Wolo Universal 310-2T) and installed it on the oem harness.
The wolo website says the horn is 8 amps. so on my 10 amp fuse for the horn/brake light it sounds loud and good with the car off. When I have the car running it's muffled and low.
So I used a relay (installed in the bumper) to trigger it and I'm sure it's wired correctly on a 15 amps fused now OEM horn wire - 86, Wire to horns - 87 ,Ground - 85 and 30 - Fused on 14 guage primary wire (15 amps)to battery positive. And I'm sure both horn and relay are grounded properly.
It's still the same scenario with or without relay. Loud when engine off, muffled and low with engine on.
Anyone experience this and what could possibly be wrong now?
