HID S Problem
I installed an h4 kit in my 99 civic and accidently pulled out one of the postive wires from connecter...meaning instead of de-pinning the the wire out the connecter the right way I pulled on the wire and it disconnected from where it was crimped on the connector
I stripped the wire and reconnected it to the connector and the little bit of wire that was left on the crimp part of the connector
The left side was done the correct way and it works when i turn on my headlights
But when I turn on the headlight right side flashes on, then off...in less then a second. Then I turn off the headlights then turn them on and it flashes again. After the third time it turns on and works fine. And once I have them on if i decide to turn them off then back onlyin less then 20 minutes...they turn right on?
Anyway What should I need to do to stop the right side and have it turn on the first time I turn on my headlight? I knwo tis the wiring but I dont know what else to do

Yea I'd first re connect or solder that wire to it's pin......
Plug n play ballasts are finicky and have the tendency to flicker light that, the only way to get rid for it is running an aux light wiring kit (from autopart stores) that pulls power directly from the battery and avoids using the factory wiring... My pnp ballasts flicker as well, but in my buddies silverado they click on like a pro every time.......

Did you solder it?
Are you sure the is not a stray strand shorting to ground?

Im looking for my solder now but im 100% sure its a power wire

do they flicker off when you turn them on and eventually come on or do you have to turn the headlight on and off for them to work

My driver side is temperamental, some times they'll both come on, sometimes the passenger will light up fine and the driver will flicker and stay off and like with what you said if you switch the lights on and off after a few tries (sometimes one, last night the harness screwed everything and it took like 15 tries) it comes right on. I've also got damaged/melted headlight sockets from the pre-previous owner using high watt H4 bulbs.....
As I said tho, a relay kit will be more likely to remove all flickering issues since the stock harness's aren't designed for the loads...

The stock harness can handel the load of hid's. Why because hid's don't draw that much power. Your factory bulbs draw more. Its when you first 3 seconds when you turn them on when they draw more power then the stock bulbs. Thats why most aftermarket kits give you 25-30 amp fuses to swap your headlight fuses with. I would solder them to the wire. wrapping the hid power lead to it will cause a voltage drop and cause your problems

I'm not implying the stocks can't handle the load by any means (my hid's wouldn't be working at all if they didn't), I'm saying that every hid pnp set that I've done on a 9006 bulb type has had zero flicker failed start ups. Where as with my civic and on my buddies altima (using H1's), there has been flicker issues on start up. Now I know it's not the bulbs or ballasts because the ballast set that I installed on my other friends silverado were the ballasts used in my civic..... in my civic they had flicker start up issues but on his silverado it's on with out hassle.

I sell/use the kaixein units with 9006 and I never had this issue with any honda's that used them. I would check the ground on your headlights wire. This might be your problem.

volage drop, thanku
I solder the wire and still have the same problem but then again the wire is not touching the wire in the connecter where it seperated its jus wrapped around the connector so I am going to see if I can buy a new connecter.

I not realy getting you on this. I taking it that you de-pined the og harness on the car because it was melted. The you de-pined the plug and play and stripped it to bare wire. Then you wrapped the bare wire from the hid's to the burnt messed up car harness and soldered it?
