Default help with wiring

i recently bought a bass tube that has a built in amp ( i just wanted a little more bass and I do a lot of camping so I wanted something i could take out easily). the amp only accepts speaker wire and not rca but I wanted to use the sub control on my head unit. I was wondering if there is a type of converter I could use or if I could run it off of the rca anyway.

thanx, reeder321

Well, if you can find a line input converter, if they make one, then use that. You can always, cut the end of the RCA off, but it'll sound like crap. You are going from low level to highlevel without something controlling the signal.

The radio accessories company "Scosche" makes such a converter. You could pick one up at your local Wal-Mart for under $10.
