help plz...2001 Civic radio code problem
hey guys, just signed up here...
ummm....my friends and I have taken the battery out of my 2001 Civic to power another car temporarily for test drive purposes. After we were done, we put the battery back into the Civic and now the radio WILL NOT work becuase it requires a code. I went to the Honda dealership and told them about it, but they told me I have to pay $85.00 CAN. to get the code because they didnt have it on file.
Can anyone tell me alternative ways of getting my code and getting my stereo to work again WITHOUT paying that $85.00????
Help will be very appreciated

If you have the radio information like the serial # and stuff, they should be able to give it to you for free... The only reason i think they are charging you $85 bucks is because they have to take out your radio and look at the radio info. Cause with out the radio info and proof of ownership of the car, they really wont give you the code. Got mine for free at a local dealer...
