Default HELP PLEASE! Keyless Entry Remote Programming 1999 Integra

helP PLEASE! my friend needs to program his keyless entry remote so he can start his car as he lost the other one. i have found several threads on here and on other forums on how to do this but none are specific for a 99 integra, and none of them are working so far.

he is pretty f*&%ed. his car is far from home and noone will help with intructions because its a gs-r. people on forums think its just someone trying to steal it and dealerships just keep telling him he has to bring the car in. they just want the money for doing it. apparently they dont understand the sentence, "my car won't start without the remote being programmed..."........ what should he do!?

is there anyway to start the car without having the keyless entry remote if the alarm is set but you have the keys?

No one is going to help you here, either... Too much risk that you're lying, then we'll see the "Stolen GSR" thread a few days later....

Sorry... Take proof of ownership to the dealer and chances are you can get them to tell you how to do it for free.

:shrugs:

If your "friend" has the keys, remote & proof of ownership, and he goes into the dealer and acts like a civilized adult, most people will be sympathetic and help him out.

Of course they're going to say to bring the car in. They're not wanting to be held responsible if it's indeed a con-job and the car gets stolen any more than we do.

Too much risk involved to "help" someone out these days...

Yes, it sucks, if indeed your friend is stranded, but that's how our world works.

Is there not an override, [disarm without remote control]?
Seems to me there must be a way to override the alarm if the remote went bad/lost, just like any other alarm, aftermarket or stock.

As has been mentioned It's unlikely anyone here will tell you anything except "manual override" procedures, does not unlocking the drivers door with the key override the alarm? 94

Does that mean that when the door is unlocked with the key the alarm is disarmed but the car will still not start? 94

if you unlock the doors and try to start the car the alarm goes off.

The unlocking doors is not the "override" and I am not sure what is, is it not in the owners manual? 94
