Default Help on amp choice...

My setup right now (besides CD head unit) two 6.5 rear Boston Acostics that will run off soon to be Alpine deck 50x4. Then, up front I have two tweeters and two more 6.5 Bostons. They are setup to run off an amp. So, I am looking for about a 200 watt amp, that is clean, and clear sounding, that will last a long time. Anyone have any good recommendations. Thanks.

Get either a JL 300.2 and lose your fade or a JL 300.4. I do not know what he is talking about 5 bills, I got my 300.2 for $350 and the .4 was $399. Great amp, no problems, great sound, good features, excellent technology. Go to: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/caraudio/brands.asp?m=19 $319 for the 300.2, $369 for the .4. HTH

Definately Arc Audio amps. Designed by Robert Zeff from Zapco. Have a look at http://www.arcaudio.com. Better than Mcintosh amps for much less. Try http://www.elitecaraudio.com forums if you want to read up on more of them (just do a search.)

If you wind up deciding to buy one, my friend is an authorized Arc Dealer and can get you a good price.

Came out probally 2 or 3 years ago. I haven't heard much about them until recently when my car audio nut of a friend told me about them.

The amps are very well built and sound better than anything I've heard so far which include Mcintosh, Genesis, Xtant, PPI, Sony ES, Zapco, ESX, and A/D/S. The only thing that might sound better are the ungodly Brax and Luxman amps. Maybe the Butler and Audison amps as well.

My friend and I recently were able to get 130+ dB(SPL meter didn't go any higher) with one IDMax Sub and an Arc Amp.
