Default Headunit wiring question

My old stereo was stolen so I bought a Clarion DXZ555MP I have a quesition about the wiring it has 2 yelloow wires I know one goes to the harness and the other it says striaght to the battery called the bus power lead. The stereo also has the red wire which is the power lead. Do I need to conect the bus power lead or can i leave it unconnected or can I put it with the red too?

i wouldnt put it to the red lead. they say connect it to the battery directly because thats how you properly install it. just do what the directions say.

Connect all the Clarion wires to the oem radio harness http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/HA-Wiring.pdf

The "bus" yellow should be connected to the batt. or, depending on your car, you can connect it to the constant power free pin on your fuse box, [under dash]. 94

Nice choice, I just installed that exact same model in my sister's 99 CR-V on New Year's Eve. Ignore the bus power wire. You only need to use the Memory backup wire (also yellow, but with 3A fuse). Other wires not used are the blue wire for the power antenna, and the brown wire (forgot what it's for), and the dimmer wire (orange).

BTW, what car do you have? The above wiring setup might not apply to your car.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Sorry my bad, connect all the wires to the oem harness including the "BUSS" yellow and connect the yellow with the 15A fuse to the batt. or constant power free pin on the fuse box. 94

and we havea winner! IF you actually didnt need that connected to the battery(or constant battery source) then they wouldnt have put it on there so good choice.
