Default Headunit install problems

So i recently purchased a new headunit for my 91 hatch and i hooked up all the connections and adaptors. I plug it in and hear it getting power but it wont light up or actually "power on". If anyone could help me out thatd be great!

Its the ignition on wire in you cars harness. Try twisting your yellow and red wires on back of head unit together and if it comes on then you have a wiring problem you need to find. Or leave it that was and manually turn the stereo off when turn car off.

wow. tard. simple. multimeter. measure voltages at red wire on harness and yellow. problem solved. plus its better to run after market stereos directly to power then those skinny skimpy wires in the cars harness

Did you hook up remote wire? You need a remote lead that will give the radio a signal to turn on when key is on and to turn off when you turn ignition all the way back and take your key out. Just make sure your remote wire isn't hooked directly to battery or else your radio will stay on all the time.

I would check fuses use a volt meter to see where your not getting power from.
